Tony Cottee is fully expecting to see Liverpool and Manchester City qualify for the Champions League by finishing third and fourth this season.

The Reds are on the cusp of clinching Champions League qualification and will take on Middlesbrough at home on Sunday knowing that a victory would guarantee a top-four finish for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Arsenal have been keeping up the pressure on the Reds in recent weeks but the Gunners are still a point behind Klopp’s side heading into the final round of Premier League games on Sunday.

Manchester City are currently third in the table and two points ahead of Liverpool – and Cottee is expecting the table to stay as it is this weekend.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Wednesday, Cottee said: “Personally, I believe Liverpool and Man City will be the third and fourth teams.”

Arsenal will play Everton in their final game of the season at The Emirates as Arsene Wenger’s men look to end the season on a high.

The Gunners will then take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley on 27 May as they bid to end what has been a disappointing Premier League campaign with a trophy.
