Manchester United will be able to spend as much as £400m on transfers in the summer window, according to Guillem Balague.

The Red Devils were one of the Premier League’s biggest spending clubs last summer as Jose Mourinho moved quickly to bring Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan following his appointment at Old Trafford.

Like most of the top Premier League clubs, Manchester United endured a quiet January window, with the Red Devils choosing not to bring in any players in the winter.

The stage now looks set for one of the busiest summer transfer windows in recent history, with most of the Premier League’s top clubs expected to spend big ahead of next season.

And Spanish football expert Balague has revealed that Manchester United will have as much as £400m to splash on new transfers this summer.

Balague told Sky Sports: “I do know that Manchester United can spend £400m if they need to, but they won’t be the only ones to spend a lot.”
