Antoine Griezmann agrees personal terms with Manchester United ahead of his proposed transfer to Old Trafford, says reports
Antoine Griezmann has agreed personal terms with Manchester United ahead of his proposed transfer to Old Trafford this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun are reporting that the France international has agreed a five-year contract with the Red Devils worth a staggering £280,000 a week.
The report states that the wages have been accepted by the Atletico Madrid striker and that Manchester United are prepared to meet the £89m buyout clause in his contract.
The same story says that Griezmann has emerged as Jose Mourinho’s top transfer target for the summer as he looks to bolster his squad ahead of his second season in charge at Old Trafford.
The article goes on to explain that Atletico are ready to lose Griezmann this summer and have earmarked Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette as possible replacements.
Griezmann, who is rated as one of Europe’s top attackers, has long been linked with Manchester United, but it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will be competing in next season’s Champions League.
Manchester United travel to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
