Jose Mourinho confirms that Paul Pogba will return to the Manchester United team for Sunday's clash with Palace
Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Paul Pogba will return to the Manchester United side for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils are set to host the Eagles at Old Trafford this weekend as they look to end the season on a high.
Pogba has been out of action in recent days after being granted compassionate leave due to the death of his father.
However, Mourinho has confirmed that Pogba will return to action this weekend ahead of next week’s crunch Europa League final clash against Ajax on Wednesday in Stockholm.
Mourinho told MUTV: “Pogba will come because Paul is not training or playing since his dad passed away.
“I will put two or three of my boys rotating during the game, making some changes to save them, but I need to give a little structure of four or five of my boys to give some stability to the kids. I don’t think, by themselves, they will be in [the right] conditions to play the game.”
Mourinho went on to reveal that he will bring a host of youngsters into his team for Sunday’s final Premier League game.
He added: “I will bring Mitchell, he was on the bench. [Scott] McTominay, he was on the bench. Of course, Axel [Tuanzebe]. Of course, Eric Bailly and [Matty] Willock will come too. Josh Harrop will come. Zachary [Dearnley] will come.”
Manchester United will finish outside of the top four this term and that leaves winning the Europa League as their only hope of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
