Paul Pogba predicts where Man United will finish
Paul Pogba insists that he and his Manchester United team-mates are still confident of finishing in the top four
Paul Pogba has insisted that he and his Manchester United team-mates are still confident of finishing in the top four this season.
The Red Devils are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table as they prepare for their crunch clash against Arsenal at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United are aiming to qualify for next season’s Champions League but head into Sunday’s game four points behind Liverpool, although they have played one game less than the Merseysiders.
The Red Devils could still secure Champions League qualification by winning the Europa League this season.
However, Pogba feels that Manchester United could still win the Europa League as well as finish in the top four.
Pogba told MUTV: “Of course, we have to believe.
“Obviously, we want to do it and we can. Of course we’re strong enough, we are Manchester United and we can do this.
“To be in the top four, our mind has to go there, and we also want to win the Europa League.
“We have to keep our heads on the challenge and the big objective; we want to achieve the big goals, not the small ones. We’re confident of that. We’re young and fresh.”
Manchester United have already lifted the EFL Cup this season following Jose Mourinho’s appointment at Old Trafford last summer.
The Red Devils finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season under Louis van Gaal.
