Romelu Lukaku could reject the chance to return to Chelsea this summer in favour of a transfer to Manchester United, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun are reporting that Everton striker Lukaku is concerned about how he would fit into Antonio Conte’s style of play at Stamford Bridge should he return to the west London club.

The same story claims that Lukaku is “torn” between the prospect of returning to Stamford Bridge of linking up with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The report also states that it is looking “likely” that striker Diego Costa will leave Chelsea in the summer, making signing a new forward one of Antonio Conte’s top priorities ahead of next season.

The story also suggests that Everton are likely to demand a fee of around £80m for Lukaku in the summer transfer window.

Lukaku has been in fine form for Everton this season, scoring 25 goals in all competitions for Ronald Koeman’s men.
