Gary Neville has heaped praise on Mauricio Pochettino for the “staggering” success he has brought to Tottenham this season.

The Lilywhites have been one of the Premier League’s top performing teams this season and have been Chelsea’s closest title challengers in recent weeks.

However, their 1-0 loss to West Ham United last weekend has allowed Chelsea the chance to win the title by beating West Brom at The Hawthorns on Friday night.

Nevertheless, Pochettino has been widely praised for the impact he has had at White Hart Lane as he looks to steer Spurs into the Champions League for the second season running.

And former Manchester United defender Neville has been extremely impressed by the impact Pochettino has had at White Hart Lane since joining in the summer of 2014.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Neville said: “Mauricio Pochettino has done a staggering job.

“He has got them into a situation where they are a football team that is growing. They are getting more experience. They are still very young.”
