Tennis star Andy Murray is backing Manchester United to hold Tottenham to a 1-1 draw in the final Premier League game at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites head into the game on the back of having had a full week off to reflect on the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Manchester United, meanwhile, will be buoyed after Jose Mourinho’s men secured their place in the Europa League final with a nervy 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo on Thursday night.

The Red Devils look set to miss out on a top-four finish in the Premier League this season, with Manchester United currently sixth in the table heading into this weekend’s games.

World number one Murray is a keen football fan and the Scot is expecting to see a 1-1 draw between the two sides at White Hart Lane this weekend.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Murray said: “My coach is a United fan and my physio is a Tottenham fan, so I hear a lot about both of these teams.

“Spurs are at home, in the last ever game at White Hart Lane, and with Jose Mourinho involved it is going to be a tight match – I’m going to go for yet another draw. 1-1.”
