Michael Owen is tipping Chelsea to clinch the Premier League title with a 1-0 victory over West Brom at The Hawthorns on Friday night.

The Blues head into the game on the back of their impressive 3-0 win over Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

Antonio Conte’s men know that a victory over the Baggies at The Hawthorns on Friday night will secure them their second title in three seasons.

And former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen is fully expecting to see Chelsea claim all three points and win the title with a narrow win on Friday night.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “The Albion have won three of their last five games against Chelsea in the Premier League and they certainly won’t make things easy for Antonio Conte’s men who will clinch the title with a win.

“That said, the Baggies are struggling for goals and form of late whilst the Blues move seamlessly towards their fifth Premier League title.

“This will be Conte’s fourth successive league title after his Serie A hat-trick with Juventus. We are blessed in the Premier League with some quite outstanding coaches but there can be only one Manager of the Year.”

Chelsea are chasing a domestic double in Conte’s first season in charge at Stamford Bridge and will take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month.

The Blues’ upturn in form this season has been in stark contrast to their struggles last term, when they ended up 10th and without a trophy.
