Chelsea want £10m from Liverpool for 21-year-old striker – report
Chelsea are looking for £10m in compensation from Liverpool to complete a deal to sign Dominic Solanke this summer, according to reports
Chelsea are to demand £10m from Liverpool in compensation for the transfer of Dominic Solanke to Anfield, according to reports.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Premier League champions are hoping to use Solanke’s performances at the Under-20 World Cup to support their demands.
Solanke has already agreed to move to Liverpool on 1 July after the forward agreed terms with the Merseyside outfit ahead of the expiration of his contract with Chelsea.
However, the same article states that Chelsea are entitled to a fee for the England starlet but the champions and Liverpool have different value for the Under-20 world champion.
The Reds are prepared to offer £3m in compensation but Chelsea are said to want a figure in the region of £10m for the striker.
Solanke helped England to win the Under-20 World Cup at the weekend and finished as the tournament’s leading goal-scorer.
Liverpool have only made one summer signing so far as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his squad ahead of a return to the Champions League next term.
