Manchester United are set to complete a deal to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mail is claiming that the Red Devils are set to wrap up the signing of the 28-year-old winger “within weeks” as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his attacking options at Old Trafford.

The same story says that Mourinho sees Perisic as a “key part” of his plans to strengthen his squad this summer as the Portuguese coach prepares for his second season in charge at the club.

However, the article also states that Manchester United are yet to agree a fee with Inter Milan for the Croatia international.

It is claimed that Mourinho wants a deal for Perisic to be concluded before Manchester United’s pre-season tour to the United States next month.

Perisic scored 11 goals and made eight assists in Serie A for Inter Milan last season and is said to be keen on a transfer to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have already wrapped up the signing of Benfica defender Victor Lindelof and are thought to be on the lookout for a number of other new recruits this summer ahead of a return to the Champions League next season.
