Antonio Conte ‘fuming’ with Chelsea officials over transfers – report
Antonio Conte is not happy about Chelsea's lack of transfer activity this summer, according to reports
Antonio Conte is not happy about Chelsea’s lack of activity in the summer transfer window and that has cast doubt over his future, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Italian coach is not at all pleased about Chelsea’s apparent failure to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton so far this summer.
The same report claims that Conte had his “heart set” on bringing Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge from Everton this summer but that deal now appears to be off the cards.
The story even says that Conte was making tactical plans including Lukaku in his line-ups for next season.
The situation leaves Chelsea needing to look elsewhere for a new forward as Conte looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of his side’s return to the Champions League next season.
The article claims that Chelsea striker Diego Costa is set to sign for Atletico Madrid this summer and then be loaned out until January.
Virgil Van Dijk, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alex Sandro are named as three targets for the Blues, but they have yet to conclude any deals for any of those players.
