Arsenal do not expect Alexis Sanchez to force a transfer away from the north London club this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Arsene Wenger is confident that the Chile international will not look to seek a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The same story says that Arsenal are definitely not expecting Sanchez to try to force a move away from the club this summer.

However, that could still leave the door open for Sanchez to leave on a free transfer next summer if he does not sign a new contract at the club.

The same article, however, also does state that the situation could change if a big money bid were to be made by the likes of Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain – but that has not yet happened.

Sanchez’s future has been a relentless source of speculation this summer after both he and Mesut Ozil entered into the final 12 months of their contracts at the club.

The Chile star is currently enjoying an extended summer holiday after his involvement in his national team’s run to the Confederations Cup final in Russia.
