Arsenal are on the lookout for the signature of Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, according to the player’s agent.

The north London side are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Arsene Wenger prepares his squad for the 2017-18 campaign.

According to the Daily Express, Arsenal were interested in signing 21-year-old midfielder Jankto back in April and sent scouts to watch him in action.

Now, the player’s agent Beppe Riso has confirmed Arsenal are in the mix for his signature this summer.

Riso told Sportitalia: “Arsenal like him, he’s a lover of English football, and he’s also liked by Juve, Inter and other teams.

“Do I see him more in the Premier League than other leagues? Yes.

“Still, he’s young, he’s 21 years old, he must be calm and he’s only thinking about Udinese.”

Arsenal have only made two signings this summer as the Gunners gear up for the new season, having brought in Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac.

The north London side will have to settle for a season in the Europa League next term after Wenger’s men finished in fifth place in the Premier League in 2016-17.

The Gunners did end last season on a high, however, when they beat Chelsea at Wembley to win the FA Cup final back in May.
