Monaco send message to Arsenal about signing 21-year-old – report
Monaco have no intention of selling Thomas Lemar this summer, according to reports in France
Monaco have told Arsenal that Thomas Lemar is not for sale this summer, according to reports in France.
French newspaper L’Equipe, as quoted by Metro, is claiming that the Ligue 1 club have informed the Gunners that they have no intention of selling the 21-year-old this summer.
The same report states that Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has no intention of selling the Frenchman this summer and that situation would only change if a huge offer was made.
The story also says that Lemar is keen to sign for Arsenal this summer and that Arsene Wenger wants the midfielder at The Emirates ahead of next season.
Arsenal have already signed a France international this summer when they broke their transfer record to bring in striker Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon earlier this month.
The Gunners will be hoping to mount a serious Premier League title challenge after they finished fifth in the Premier League table last term.
However, they did end last season on a high by beating Chelsea to win the FA Cup.
