Insider claims 21-year-old will definitely become Arsenal’s third signing
Thomas Lemar is poised to become Arsenal's third signing of the summer, according to Emanuele Giulianelli
Arsenal are definitely going to complete a deal to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco this summer, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
The north London side have been heavily linked with a bid to bring the 21-year-old midfielder to The Emirates this summer as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
Arsenal have signed Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac so far this summer but it remains to be seen whether the north London side will be able to get a deal for Lemar across the line.
However, Guilianelli is adamant that Lemar is poised to become Arsenal’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
Guilianelli wrote on Twitter: “To all the Arsenal supporters asking me about Lemar I can answer: don’t worry, he will join the Gunners.”
Guilianelli then responded to one fan asking if the deal was done, claiming that Monaco are waiting to find a replacement for Lemar before the transfer goes through.
He added: “Done, but Monaco want to have a substitute first.”
Arsenal are preparing for a season without Champions League football next season after the Gunners ended up fifth in the Premier League table.
