Arsene Wenger is convinced top midfielder wants to sign for Arsenal – report
Arsene Wenger is confident that Arsenal will succeed in their bid to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco, say reports
Arsene Wenger is planning a third bid for Thomas Lemar and is convinced that the Monaco star wants to sign for Arsenal this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Arsenal are set to make a third bid to try and sign the 21-year-old from Monaco this week as Wenger searches for his third summer signing.
The same report states that Arsenal have already had bids of £30m and £40m turned down by Monaco as Wenger looks to bring the France international to The Emirates before the start of next season.
The story also states that the north London side are now ready to pay more than £45m to get their man.
The article also claims that Lemar has always been Arsenal’s next transfer priority, despite the speculation linking the Gunners with a move for Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez.
Arsenal confirmed their second signing of the summer last Wednesday when they secured the arrival of striker Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
The north London side also signed left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Schalke last month.
