Arsenal ready to make £45m bid for third summer signing – report
Arsenal are ready to make a third bid to try and sign midfielder Thomas Lemar from Monaco, say reports
Arsenal are ready to make a £45m bid to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is claiming that the north London side are ready to ramp up their efforts to sign the 21-year-old midfielder this summer.
Arsenal have already broken their transfer record this summer with a £52m move to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
And it seems that the north London side could be ready to spend big once again in trying to bring France international Lemar to The Emirates.
The same report claims that Arsenal’s proposed move to sign Lemar could cost the north London club as much as £50m when add-ons are taken into account.
The article also says that the Gunners have already had two bids for Lemar turned down by Monaco – one for £30m and one for £40m.
Arsene Wenger is clearly keen to significantly bolster his squad this summer as he bids to transform his team in the Premier League title challengers next season.
The north London side slumped to a disappointing fifth-placed finish in the top flight last season.
