Arsenal’s next two summer transfer targets revealed – report
Arsenal are targeting moves for both Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk and Celtic striker Mousa Dembele, say reports
Arsenal are pondering moves for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk and Celtic striker Mousa Dembele, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is claiming that the Gunners are considering moves for both players as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
The same report claims Wenger is weighing up a £45m bid to sign Virgil van Dijk from Southampton, with the Dutch defender having been linked with Liverpool for much of the summer.
And the same story suggests that Arsenal have set their sights on Celtic forward Dembele if Alexis Sanchez were to leave the club this summer.
Sanchez’s future at the club remains unclear, with the 28-year-old having entered into the final 12 months of his contract.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of players this summer but have so far only tied up deals to sign Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.
The Gunners are thought to be out to further strengthen their squad this summer as Wenger looks to lead Arsenal to a serious Premier League title challenge next season.
