Thomas Lemar is keen to force through a move to Arsenal from Monaco this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Star is reporting that Lemar wants to secure a “dream” transfer to The Emirates this summer and play under manager Arsene Wenger next season.

Lemar has been heavily linked with a move to The Emirates in recent weeks but the Gunners have not been able to officially confirm a deal for the France international.

However, the same story claims that Monaco want to block his proposed £45m move to Arsenal because they are worried that they are losing too many players this summer.

Tiemoue Bakayoko became the latest player to quit the Ligue 1 club this summer as he signed for Chelsea on Saturday.

And Monaco now want to keep the 21-year-old Lemar at the club, much to the player’s frustration, according to the report.

The same story claims that Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez is a potential alternative for Wenger should he fail to land Lemar this summer.
