Arsene Wenger is ready to offer Thomas Lemar a five-year contract worth £100,000 a week to sign for Arsenal this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that Arsenal are ready to make a third bid to try and lure the 21-year-old Frenchman to The Emirates this summer.

The same story claims that the Gunners have already had a bid of £40m rejected, which was their second offer.

The Ligue 1 club are said to be reluctant to part company with Lemar in the summer transfer window.

However, the article claims that Arsenal are now ready to return with an improved offer of £45m and a lucrative contract for the France international.

The same story claims that Lemar’s representatives are already holding talks with Monaco and that Arsenal are “hoping” that they will be able to get a deal done.

Should Arsenal be able to tie up a deal for Lemar, it would make him their third signing of the summer following the captures of both Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.
