Claudio Bravo has told Alexis Sanchez that he will be welcomed with open arms if he swaps Arsenal for Manchester City this summer.

The Chile international’s future has been a source of relentless debate since midway through the 2016-17 Premier League campaign.

Arsenal have failed to find a resolution in the summer transfer window amid talk of Sanchez potentially moving to one of their title rivals.

Manchester City are thought to be heading up domestic interest in the 28-year-old as Pep Guardiola looks to reunite with the former Barcelona striker.

Bravo could have a role to play in a transfer to the Etihad Stadium given the Manchester City goalkeeper is international team-mates with Sanchez.

The Chile shot stopper was instrumental in helping his national team to win the Confederations Cup in Russia earlier this summer.

And Bravo offered Sanchez reassurance that he will receive a warm reception at Manchester City should the forward decide to leave.

“If he decides to go, we’ll wait for him with open arms at City,” Bravo told 24 Horas, as quoted by Metro.

Sanchez scored 25 times in 37 appearances in the Premier League last season as Arsenal finish in fifth place in the top-flight table.

However, the Gunners ended up with some silverware after a 2-1 victory over champions Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
