Arsenal’s third offer of £45m won’t tempt club to sell attacker – report
AS Monaco are adamant Thomas Lemar won't be sold this summer despite Arsenal's £45m offer, according to reports in England
AS Monaco are adamant that Thomas Lemar won’t be sold this summer despite Arsenal increasing their offer to £45m, according to reports in England.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Gunners have made a third attempt to sign the France international from the Ligue 1 champions in the summer transfer window.
However, the same article has some bad news for Arsenal fans as it reveals that AS Monaco are determined not to sell the 21-year-old despite the north London side’s best efforts.
Indeed, the Ligue 1 champions view Lemar as an important chess piece to convince Kylian Mbappe to sign a new contract and ignore overtures from La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Arsenal have signed two players in the summer transfer window so far as Arsene Wenger looks to rebuild following a fifth-place finish last term.
Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac completed a free transfer from Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 to bolster their left-back options before Arsenal signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record deal.
