Arsenal will have to pay €60m (£53m) if Arsene Wenger wants to sign AS Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar this summer, according to Emanuele Giulianelli.

The north London side are thought to have made signing the France international their next priority in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have already spent a club-record £55m fee on Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette as Wenger added some notable firepower to his squad.

Arsenal have also signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer from Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04.

According to reports in England, the FA Cup winners have already failed with two offers for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder.

Football insider Giulianelli believes Arsenal will have to cough up a fee in the region of €60m (£53m) to get a deal over the line.

Giulianelli wrote on his Twitter page: “Monaco have said they want €60m from Arsenal for Lemar. Player pushing for the move. Confirmed. #AFC”

Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season and a point behind Liverpool in fourth spot.

The Gunners missed out on a place in the Champions League following their disappointing finish in the Premier League.
