Top striker asks to leave club amid talk of Chelsea move – report
Andrea Belotti has asked for a transfer away from Torino as he continues to be linked with Chelsea, say reports
Andrea Belotti has asked for a transfer away from Torino as the striker continues to be linked with a move to Chelsea, according to reports in Italy.
The Sun is quoting Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri as having claimed that the striker is keen on a move away from the Serie A club this summer, with both AC Milan and Chelsea touted as possible destinations.
The same report claims that Belotti is likely to command a transfer fee of as much as €90m (£79m) should he leave the Italian side this summer.
The story suggests that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is “desperate” to sign a new striker this summer as he prepares for his second season in charge.
The future of Diego Costa at the Stamford Bridge outfit remains unclear and the Blues missed out on the chance to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton earlier this month.
However, the same article in the Sun claims that Chelsea are set to face serious competition from Italian giants AC Milan for the signature of Belotti this summer, and the 23-year-old Italian striker is said to be open to a move to the San Siro.
