Chelsea could be set to make a move to sign former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that Chelsea have turned their attentions towards a possible deal for Hernandez after they missed out in the race to sign Romelu Lukaku, who joined Manchester United last week.

The same report claims that Bayer Leverkusen forward Hernandez could be available for just £13m this summer as Antonio Conte looks to beef up his attacking options at Stamford Bridge.

The article also credits Premier League rivals West Ham with an interest in signing Hernandez, who was sold by Manchester United in 2015, this summer.

According to the story, Chelsea still also retain a strong interest in singing Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata this summer.

Chelsea are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Conte looks to prepare his team for a return to the Champions League next season.

The west London side finished top of the table last term but missed out on the FA Cup when they were beaten by Arsenal in the final.
