Chelsea have held talks with Juventus about the possibility of selling midfielder Nemanja Matic to the Serie A club this summer, according to Kaveh Solhekol.

The Sky Sports News reporter has taken to Twitter to shed light on the Serbian’s situation as the speculation about his future continues.

Matic has been touted as a possible target for Juventus in recent days, while Manchester United have also been linked with a possible swoop for the 28-year-old midfielder.

However, Solhekol has now suggested that it is the Italian club who are leading the race to land the midfielder this summer.

Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Sky in Italy: Nemanja Matic is main midfield target for Juventus. New talks have been held about signing him from Chelsea.”

Matic’s future has been even more of a source of speculation in recent weeks after Chelsea completed a deal to sign midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco to cast further doubt on his situation.

The Blues are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after Antonio Conte led them to the Premier League title in his first campaign in charge at the club.
