The Chelsea striker was thrilled to score twice against Arsenal in a 3-0 win in Beijing on Saturday
Michy Batshuayi has taken to Instagram to reflect on the Chelsea striker’s “perfect” start to pre-season.
The Belgium international has fallen further down the pecking order after the Premier League champions signed Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid last week.
The 24-year-old completed a reported £58m move to Stamford Bridge following weeks of speculation linking the Spanish star with a move to London.
Batshuayi made one Premier League start last season after struggling to make an impression under new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
The former Marseille striker scored Chelsea’s title-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over West Brom to secure their first top-flight crown under the Italian coach.
And the Belgium star laid down a marker for Morata after he scored twice in a 3-0 win against Arsenal in their opening pre-season game on Saturday.
And Batshuayi looks prepared to fight for his future at the English champions after he posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“⚽️⚽️ Two goals + one disallowed (really 🙄🙄) + 1 assist 🎁 … it was a good day overall 💙 Very happy with this start #mb23 #cfctour”
Chelsea have signed four players in the summer transfer window so far to bolster their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League.
The Blues snapped up Manchester City reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero, AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger and AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko so far this summer.
