Insider reveals when new Chelsea signing could make his debut
Kaveh Solhekol delivers the latest update on Alvaro Morata's move to Chelsea from Real Madrid
Alvaro Morata could be set to make his Chelsea debut when the Blues take on Bayern Munich in their pre-season friendly on 25 July in Singapore, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The striker is Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer after the Blues agreed a deal with Real Madrid to bring him to Stamford Bridge last week.
The 24-year-old underwent his medical at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground on Friday ahead of his confirmation as a Blues player later in the evening.
Now, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has revealed that Morata could be poised to travel straight to Singapore and join up with his new Chelsea team-mates there.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Friday morning, Solhekol said: “Alvaro Morata will have his medical before flying out to join his new team-mates.
“There isn’t enough time for him to get a Chinese visa so he’s going to fly to Singapore, where Chelsea are playing Bayern and Inter Milan.”
Morata has become Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer after the Blues concluded deals to bring in Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The Spanish forward will be hoping to help Chelsea defend their Premier League title next season after they won the top flight in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge at the club last term.
