Alvaro Morata signed his five-year Chelsea contract next to his wife Alice Campello on Friday afternoon
Alvaro Morata was all smiles as he put the pen to paper on his Chelsea contract on Friday after agreeing a five-year deal with the west London club.
The Spanish forward was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for much of the summer but was also touted as a possible target for Manchester United.
However, the Red Devils ended up signing striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton to open the door for Chelsea to land Morata from Real Madrid.
And the 24-year-old striker was finally unveiled as a Chelsea player on Friday night as he put the pen to paper on his Blues contract.
Morata was joined by his new wife Alice Campello and the model was quick to post a picture and send a heartfelt message to her husband.
Campello shared the picture above on Instagram and wrote the caption: “Together, in whatever part of the world. Good luck my love, even if you won’t be needing it! I’m so proud of you! I love you! ❤️”
Chelsea will be looking to win the Premier League for the second successive season next term.
The Blues are also aiming to make their mark on the Champions League after missing out on a spot in Europe’s elite club competition last term.
