Antonio Conte wants 26-year-old Brazilian as Chelsea’s marquee signing – report
Antonio Conte wants Chelsea to bring in full-back Alex Sandro from Juventus as the club's top signing this summer, say reports
Antonio Conte wants Chelsea to bring in full-back Alex Sandro from Juventus as the club’s “marquee” signing this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is claiming that the west London side are still trying to conclude a deal for the 26-year-old from Juventus, having already been linked with a move for him this summer.
The same story says that Sandro is rated at £70m but Conte is keen to bolster his defensive options ahead of his second season in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have been one of the busier Premier League clubs this summer despite having made a slow start to the transfer window.
The Blues have brought in Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata so far this summer as Conte prepares for his second campaign at the club.
However, it would seem that Chelsea’s spending is not set to stop there, with the Blues still being linked with a number of other players this summer.
The west London side are gearing up for a return to the Champions League next season after their title triumph last term.
