Alvaro Morata looked to be in good spirits as he posed for a picture with Cesar Azpilicueta after linking up with the Chelsea squad in Singapore.

Morata became Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer on Friday when he signed a five-year contract with the west London club.

The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United but ended up signing for Chelsea after the Red Devils sealed a deal to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

Morata flew straight out to Singapore to link up with his new team-mates as the Blues continue their pre-season preparations.

And the Spanish defender was clearly delighted to link up with his international team-mate for the first time as a Chelsea player.

Azpilicueta shared the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Ready for our first training in Singapore!🇸🇬 Welcome to @chelseafc @alvaromorata! 🔵”

Morata will be hoping to help Chelsea retain their Premier League title next season after the Blues finished top of the table in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge last term.

The west London side will also be hoping to make a successful return to the Champions League next season after they missed out last term.
