Chelsea are set to complete the signing of Antonio Rudiger from Roma in a £35m deal next week, according to journalist Amy Christopher.

The reporter has taken to Twitter to suggest that the Blues are set to secure their second signing of the summer next week as the west London club look to bolster their defensive options.

Chelsea are thought to be on the lookout for a number of defensive reinforcements this summer after Antonio Conte saw both Nathan Ake and John Terry leave the club after the end of the season.

And it seems that Roma defender Rudiger is now closing in on a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Reporter Christopher tweeted: “Antonio Rudiger will complete his £35million move to Chelsea next week.”

Chelsea are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Conte prepares for his second season in charge in west London.

The Blues won the Premier League title last season and are now preparing for a return to the Champions League on Conte’s second campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge.
