Chelsea are prepared to pay Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as much as £7m a year in wages after tax, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mail is claiming that the Blues are prepared to offer the Gabon international a lucrative contract to sign for the west London club from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The same report states that Chelsea have “sounded out” a move for the 28-year-old attacker but have not yet made a bid to Dortmund to try and sign him.

The report follows widespread speculation on Monday that Chelsea have added Aubameyang to their list of attacking targets this summer.

The story also says that Crystal Palace forward Christian Benteke is also a possible summer target for the west London side.

Chelsea look likely to sell Diego Costa ahead of next season after he was pictured in an Atletico Madrid shirt over the weekend.

And the Blues are sure to want to bring in some attacking reinforcements this summer should Costa leave, ahead of their return to the Champions League next season.
