Chelsea are keen to make a transfer move to try to sign Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto, according to reports in the British media.

ESPN is reporting that the Blues are wanting to make a bid to try to sign the 25-year-old, who can play at full-back, but that the west London side are yet to make an official offer for the Spaniard.

The same report claims that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has made bringing in a new full-back one of his top priorities this summer and that Roberto is among his list of targets.

The story quotes sources close to Chelsea as confirming that Roberto is one of the Blues’ top remaining transfer targets this summer.

Roberto played most of last season at right-back for Barcelona as is reportedly seen as an ideal player to provide fresh competition for Victor Moses.

Chelsea have already signed Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata this summer as Conte prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season and their Premier League title defence.
