Chelsea are set to step up their efforts to sign Danilo from Real Madrid this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Italian website Gianlucadimarzio.com is reporting that the Blues are ready to ramp up their bid to try and land the 25-year-old this summer.

The right-back has been touted as a target for Chelsea in recent days as Antonio Conte looks to add more depth to his squad ahead of next season.

The same report claims that Juventus have cooled their interest in the player, allowing Chelsea to move in front in the race to sign the 25-year-old this summer.

The article also states that Real Madrid could demand a fee of around £26.5m for Danilo this summer.

It has been something of a frustrating transfer window for Chelsea so far this summer, with the Blues set to make a return to the Champions League next season but having only signed Willy Caballero.

Conte will be keen to add significant reinforcements to his squad as they prepare for a return to the Champions League next season.
