Fernando Llorente is on his way to Chelsea this summer, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The Swansea City striker has been touted as a possible transfer target for the Blues in recent days as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his attacking options at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have already spent big on one striker this summer, having paid a big-money fee to land Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

However, the Blues are thought to still be on the lookout for more reinforcements this summer as the speculation about Diego Costa’s future at the club continues.

Now, Bleacher Report journalist Jones has suggested that Chelsea are likely to complete the signing of the 32-year-old Llorente this summer.

Jones wrote on Twitter: “Have said before that I expect Llorente to join Chelsea this summer and still think it’ll go ahead. Surely Batshuayi deserves a chance tho.”

Chelsea are preparing for a return to European competition next season after they missed out on a spot in the Champions League last term.

The west London club have been busy in the transfer window and have so far signed Morata, Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
