Antonio Conte has pleaded with Chelsea chiefs to help him bring in more signings this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Chelsea boss is concerned that the west London side have not been more active in the summer transfer window and wants to be backed by the club’s board in his search for more additions.

The Blues have made four signings so far this summer, having landed Willy Caballero, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Morata.

However, the same story claims that Conte is keen to add further depth to his squad, because he fears he could become the third title-winning manager to be sacked in a row.

The article claims that Chelsea are still on the lookout for another three signings this summer as they prepare for their Premier League title defence as well as a return to the Champions League next season.

The west London side missed out on the chance to win a domestic double last term when they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May.
