Chelsea are interested in a deal to bring Ryan Bertrand back to the club this summer, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Blues are believed to be on the lookout for reinforcements in the full-back department as Antonio Conte prepares for his second season in charge at the west London club.
Chelsea sold Bertrand to Southampton two years ago, but Solhekol claims that the Blues are now interested in a deal to try to bring him back to Stamford Bridge.
The Sky Sports News reporter also claimed that Chelsea boss Conte is a big fan of the 27-year-old full-back.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Monday morning, Solhekol said: “We know Chelsea are trying to sign some full-backs. They missed out on Danilo and Benjamin Mendy.
“We understand that they are now interested in their own former left-back Ryan Bertrand.
“He was sold to Southampton two years ago for £10m. Antonio Conte is a big fan. Bertrand helped Chelsea win the Champions League back in 2012.”
Chelsea completed their fourth signing of the summer last Friday when they finally tied up a deal to land Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
The Blues are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after they finished top of the Premier League table last term.
The west London side won a record 30 games on their way to the top-flight title last term.
