Antonio Conte has confirmed that Chelsea are still in the market to sign a number of new players this summer.

The Blues endured a somewhat quiet start to the window but have since brought in four new additions as Conte readies his team for their title defence next term.

Chelsea have so far signed Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata this summer but the Blues continue to be linked with a whole host of other players this summer.

Now, Conte has confirmed that the Blues are still on the lookout for more recruits as he prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.

Speaking to Sky Sports News on Friday morning, Conte said: “With the club we speak every day about the way to strengthen this team and the squad.

“We know very well which are the positions [that need strengthening]. It’s normal that every big team tries to reinforce the squad with quality. It’s normal.”

Chelsea won the Premier League title in Conte’s first campaign in charge at the club but missed out on the FA Cup when they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal in the final at Wembley back in May.

The west London side will be hoping to challenge for the Champions League title next season after they missed out on a spot in Europe last term.
