Antonio Conte will be “enraged” by Manchester United’s bid to sign Romelu Lukaku in a £75m deal, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that Conte is already “fuming” about Chelsea’s lack of transfer activity this summer abut the same article claims that he will be even more frustrated to learn that Manchester United appear to be closing in on Lukaku, who was a prime target for the Blues.

Widespread reports on Thursday claimed that Manchester United had agreed a £75m fee with Everton for the sale of the striker to the Red Devils.

Chelsea had been thought to be the front-runners to sign Lukaku this summer but it now appears that the Belgian striker is on his way to Old Trafford.

And the article in the Daily Express suggests that Conte will be less than happy to learn about this latest development.

Both Chelsea and Manchester United are looking for significant reinforcements this summer as they prepare for returns to the Champions League, having missed out last season.
