The agent of Leonardo Bonucci has said that fans will have to “wait” and see if the defender will sign for AC Milan ahead of Chelsea this summer.

The 30-year-old Italy international has been touted as a possible target for the Blues this summer as Antonio Conte looks to shore up his defensive options following the exits of John Terry and Nathan Ake.

Chelsea secured the signing of defender Antonio Rudiger from Roma last weekend but the Blues could still be on the lookout for further rearguard reinforcements.

According to the Daily Mail, Bonucci is a target for both Chelsea and Manchester City this summer ahead of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.

The same report claims that Bonucci could be on his way to Italian rivals AC Milan this summer, with Juventus said to want a fee of around £35m for the defender.

However, the player’s agent has now rubbished reports that any deal is imminent.

Bonucci’s agent Alessandro Luci told Calciomercato.com, as quoted by FourFourTwo: “There are no feelings at the moment. We just have to wait.”

Chelsea boss Conte knows Bonucci well after having coached him for both Juventus and the Italian national team.
