Chelsea are ready to pay as much as £63m to secure the signing of Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Italian website Calciomercato, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Blues could be ready to shell out as much as £63m to bring the full-back to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Sandro has been regularly touted as a possible target for the west London side this summer as Antonio Conte looks to strengthen his defensive options ahead of his second season in charge at the club.

The same report claims that Juventus are hoping to tie Sandro down to a new contract, but the full-back has not yet put pen to paper on a new deal.

And that could give Chelsea hope of signing the the 26-year-old before the close of the summer transfer window, according to the report.

Sandro currently has three years left on his current contract in Turin.

Chelsea have made four signings so far this summer, having tied up deals to land Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.

The west London side are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after their title triumph last term.
