The Sky Sports News reporter has confirmed that Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing the Gabon international this summer as Antonio Conte prepares for his second season in charge at the club.
The 28-year-old is widely regarded as one of Europe’s top attackers and Aubameyang finished last season as the top scorer in the Bundesliga.
Solhekol has confirmed that Chelsea are indeed keen on signing Aubameyang this summer but also revealed that Dortmund want to push through a deal sooner rather than later.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Monday morning, Solhekol said: “Chelsea want to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after missing out on Romelu Lukaku.
“Dortmund will let him go this summer for about £70m and he’s told the club he wants to leave.
“Dortmund are warning interested clubs that they’re running out of time – they want Aubameyang to sort out his future by next Monday. The clock is ticking.”
Chelsea are believed to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this summer as the Blues prepare for Conte’s second campaign at the club.
The west London side are also gearing up for a return to the Champions League next term after missing out last season.
Chelsea have already signed Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko so far this summer.
