Journalist reveals top 26-year-old unsure about transfer to Chelsea
Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol reveals Alex Sandro is having second thoughts about leaving Juventus to move to Chelsea or PSG
Alex Sandro is having second thoughts about leaving Juventus to move to Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Brazil international was thought to be keen on a move to the Premier League champions earlier this month as Antonio Conte looked to strengthen his wing-back options.
Indeed, Chelsea are reportedly willing to pay a club-record £60m fee to sign the 26-year-old from Champions League runners-up Juventus this summer.
The Serie A holders were touted with being open to a deal to sell Sandro as long as the South American made it known that he wants to leave the Turin club.
Cash-rice French side PSG were also rumoured to be interested in a deal to sign the Brazilian defender, despite Chelsea leading the race for Sandro’s signature.
However, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has revealed that Sandro is now rethinking a potential departure from Juventus in the summer transfer window.
“Chelsea are in talks to sign Alex Sandro but there could be a twist in the tale here,” Solhekol told Sky Sports News HQ.
“Sandro is now not sure if he wants to leave Italy. PSG also want to sign the left-back. Chelsea are willing to pay a club-record £60m.”
Chelsea signed AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger in a £34m deal on Sunday afternoon as Conte finally landed one of his top transfer targets this summer.
The Premier League champions have also signed Manchester City reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero in the summer transfer window.
