Alvaro Morata has lifted the lid on his many emotions after sealing a move to Chelsea from Real Madrid last week.

The Spain international finally left the Spanish giants after months of speculation linking the centre-forward with a move to the Premier League.

Europa League winners Manchester United were initially thought to be favourites to sign the 24-year-old striker in the summer transfer window.

However, the Red Devils swooped to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku to trigger talk of Chelsea rekindling their interest in the stylish striker.

The Premier League champions wrapped up a deal thought to be worth in the region of £58m to bring Morata to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2017-18 season.

The Chelsea signing has already set his sights on winning lots of silverware with the west London club.

“I am so happy to be here. It’s an incredible emotion to be part of this big club,” Morata told Chelsea’s website.

“I am looking to work hard, score as many goals as I can and to win as many trophies as possible.”

Morata scored 15 times in 26 games in La Liga last season as the striker played a bit-part role in Zinedine Zidane’s team.

Chelsea finished as Premier League champions last season to win the title in their first campaign under Antonio Conte.

However, the Blues lost 2-1 to bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
