Chelsea in talks with top club to sign Brazilian defender – report
Chelsea are hoping to sign Real Madrid right-back Danilo to provide Victor Moses with competition, according to reports
Chelsea are holding talks with Real Madrid about the possibility of signing Brazilian right-back Danilo, according to reports.
Sky Sports are quoting their sources in Italy that suggest the Premier League champions want to sign the South American defender this summer to bolster their options ahead of the 2017-18 Premier League season.
The same article states that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to sign Danilo to provide Nigeria international Victor Moses with competition in the Blues side next season.
According to the story, the Real Madrid right-back will cost the Premier League champions a fee in the region of £28m as Conte looks to make his third signing of the summer.
Chelsea have signed Manchester City reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero and AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger in the summer transfer window so far.
However, the English champions missed out on top target Romelu Lukaku after the Belgium international completed a £75m move to Manchester United ahead of a return to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea won the Premier League title with two games to spare last season to secure a return to the Champions League next term.
