Reported Chelsea target could leave top club if asking price is met – report
Celtic would be open to selling reported Chelsea target Moussa Dembele at the right price this summer, according to reports
Celtic could sell Moussa Dembele this summer if Chelsea match the SPL champions’ asking price, according to reports in France.
RMC, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the 21-year-old striker wants to leave the Scottish Premier League giants in the summer transfer window.
The same article reveals that manager Brendan Rodgers would allow Dembele to leave this summer if Chelsea made a suitable offer for the striker.
Celtic are rumoured to value Dembele at around £40m in the current transfer market which could prove a stumbling block.
Premier League champions Chelsea have already spent £58m to sign Alvaro Morata from La Liga giants Real Madrid earlier this month.
Dembele scored 32 goals in 48 games in all competitions last season following a move to Celtic from Championship side Fulham last summer.
The France Under-21 international netted a respectable five goals in 12 appearances in the Champions League.
Chelsea are gearing up for their return to the Champions League next season after Antonio Conte’s side won the Premier League title in his first campaign in England.
