Antonio Conte has remained tight-lipped on reports linking Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic with a move to Manchester United this summer.

The Premier League champions have signed five players in the summer transfer window so far to strengthen their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League.

Chelsea signed AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in a £39m deal from the Ligue 1 champions to strengthen their options in defensive midfield ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

Matic has been linked with a potential switch to Manchester United given the increased competition for places in Conte’s midfield following the addition of Bakayoko.

The Serbia international, who was brought back to Stamford Bridge during Jose Mourinho’s second spell at the club, is thought to be valued at around £50m by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.

But Chelsea boss Conte refused to speak about Matic’s potential switch to Manchester United or another club in the summer transfer window.

“I don’t like to speak about players who are still here with us,” said Conte, speaking at a media conference in Singapore on Monday morning.

Chelsea won the Premier League title in their first season under Conte following his appointment last summer.
