Antonio Conte sends open message to Chelsea supporters about Eden Hazard
Antonio Conte once again insists that Eden Hazard will be staying at Chelsea this summer
Antonio Conte has ruled out the possibility of Eden Hazard leaving Chelsea this summer, insisting that the Belgian is “very happy” at Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old Belgian has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Lille back in 2012.
Hazard has helped Chelsea to win two Premier League titles since his arrival at the club and his fine form for the west London side has inevitably prompted speculation that he could be set to move to Barcelona or Real Madrid.
The playmaker is currently working hard on his fitness levels at Chelsea’s Cobham training base as the Belgian bids to get himself ready for the new season after undergoing surgery on a broken ankle at the start of the summer.
Now, Conte has once again ruled out the possibility of Hazard leaving Chelsea this summer.
Speaking in quotes carried by the Daily Telegraph, Conte said: “In the past I read a lot of stories about Hazard with Real Madrid. And now Barcelona. But this is the transfer market, we must understand this.
“Will he be here next season? Yes. He is very happy to stay with us and to play for Chelsea.”
Chelsea are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after they won the title in Conte’s first campaign at the club.
